ONE announced the signing of four new talents for their 2023 roster, adding some more global touch across several divisions.
Representing United States, 26-year-old Blake Cooper, a welterweight with an amateur wrestler background and a family of MMA fighters (his father and brothers have competed professionally).
From Ecuador, Aaron Cañarte possesses a 10-0 record (6 KO/submissions) and is one of the most promising Latin American talents in MMA. He is a powerful striker with a background in kickboxing.
Akbar Abdulaev, from Kyrgyzstan, enters ONE with an impressive slate (8-0 record). Seven of those fights ended via strikes, with only one opponent making it out of the first round.
Last but not least, Turkey’s Shamil Erdogan, a 6’2″ featherweight who competed for the Turkish national team in freestyle wrestling. Erdogan began his career back in 2012, and after a three-year hiatus he returned to MMA with consecutive wins over strong opponents.
