During the last decade, ONE Championship has become the largest sports property in Asia. Now, Chatri Sityodtong, CEO of ONE Championship, announced their plans to expand this growth globally.
In a recent interview with Sports Business Journal, Mr. Sityodtong said they envision their first U.S. events next year. The longer term plan includes expanding to 50 events in Asia, 50 events in U.S. and 50 events in Europe.
ONE Championship started in 2011, and has held more than 200 events since then, including some major cards in China, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines or Thailand, as well as their home nation, Singapur. After their successful debut on Amazon Prime in the U.S, ONE Championship intends to expand their broadcast reach in different parts of the world.
