It was hard to choose only one amongst the plenty of thrilling matchups, but the drama of Lee vs. Stamp at ONE X in Singapore back in March made it to the top.
After a long break following the birth of her daughter, Lee returned to defend her ONE Women’s Atomweight World Title. Stamp was a fierce challenger, winning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix with three outstanding victories in 2021. Lots of questions around Lee’s physical and mental readiness, which she answered in the second round when she forced the tap from Stamp with a rear-naked choke.
Stamp’s creditable performance was not enough to win the title, but it increased her value after confronting the division’s most dominant athlete of all time in an unforgettable fight. A fight which is now, officially, ONE’S 2022 MMA Fight Of The Year.
